How very very true. Even when other memories have all but been forgotten the first day of pitchers and catchers renew life and those memories for a fan the same as song birds singing or a crocus blooming does for non-fans.
The BIG difference is that in all the places where winter prevails pitchers & catchers 1st day prevails as being the 1st harbinger of spring.
