I’m sorry, when did France convert to communism? I hope Amazon just pays the thousand euros a day to keep offering free shipping, because the free market isn’t designed to work the way France is trying to work it.
Hmm – I actually see the point of the ruling. I don’t think I know enough to judge whether it’s a good idea.
I think if a company wants to sell books below cost, they should be allowed to sell them below cost. Isn’t demanding that they don’t a fancy form of government-induced price-fixing? And how in the world does giving a shipping discount (a service) count as a discount on books anyway? I don’t approve.
