This is *so* true….
Turn up earlier for the appointment with G… the doctor and end up sitting there until an hour or more *after* you were supposed to see them.
Yep, and the bigger the doctor’s office the worse the wait.
It’s simple economics. When the doctor is underbooked and has to wait around, he doesn’t get any money. When the doctor is overbooked and you have to wait around, he gets money.
What? Customer satisfaction? But … money! How can you argue with money? :P
In this particular case it’s more complex than that — but to say any more would spoil upcoming comics :)
