Online Comics Day 2006!

online comics day 2006

The art in panel 1 is definitely more my usual style than the art in panel 4, but I wanted to do something special for Online Comics Day, which is technically tomorrow, but which starts at 7pm (here – midnight GMT) on the official website.

Celebrate Online Comics Day on May 5, 2006 by saying thank you to your favorite comic authors — and by finding new comics to enjoy!

Bonus Sketch: Climbing back into the saddle.

You know, I knew it’d be an interesting challenge if I stopped drawing for a solid month, but I didn’t know it’d be this bad.

This took me three hours. And by “this” I mean just the lineart of Cole. The background I stole from a previous comic.

If it weren’t for the fact that I sucked at drawing men in the first place, I’d really be worried.

The problem is, I hate rewriting anything.

I’ve got two comics half-done, but I haven’t finished them, because they’re on paper.

Paper. That white tree pulp stuff. That stuff that doesn’t respond to my Wacom pen.

I have to go clear my desk off and find my scanner and set it up and scan the paper comics. Then, I have to finish the paper comics.

Well, it means that for the first time, I have “originals”.
